Terms of Use
Last updated: 23 October 2026 · Translated from the original in Portuguese (Brazil), which prevails if the two differ.
In short. Coach Sporti builds and adapts your training, but it is not a medical service: you train on your own account and within your limits. What you post remains yours. Respect other people. You can delete your account at any time. These terms don’t take away any right that consumer law gives you.
1. Who provides the service
Coach Sporti is provided by Matheus Gomes Messias, resident in Portugal (“we”). By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
Contact, including the point of contact for users and authorities required by the European Union’s Digital Services Act: support@coachsporti.com, in Portuguese or English.
We may transfer the service and these terms to a company that comes to run Coach Sporti, keeping your rights. We will let you know beforehand, in the app or by email.
2. What the app does
- Coach Sporti generates and adapts training plans from the information you provide, logs your workouts, shows your progress and offers community features.
- The plans and figures the app shows are automatically calculated estimates: loads, reps, effort, estimated strength and paces. The result depends on you, your body and your routine, and we don’t guarantee specific results.
- Features marked as tests may change or be withdrawn.
3. Health and training risks
- Coach Sporti is not a medical service. It doesn’t diagnose and doesn’t replace a doctor, physiotherapist, nutritionist or exercise professional.
- See a health professional before you start if you have an illness, injury, pain, pregnancy or regular medication, or if you haven’t trained for a long time.
- Physical activity has its own risks, such as muscle and joint injuries, falls, equipment accidents and, rarely, heart problems. By training, you accept these risks.
- The final decision is always yours:
- adjust or skip whatever doesn’t suit your body, your place or your equipment;
- warm up before you start and use safe technique and equipment, with safeties or someone nearby for heavy loads;
- stop if you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain or unusual shortness of breath, and seek medical help.
- The plan is only as good as the information it receives. Keep your profile, your pain and your loads accurate and up to date.
- When training outdoors, mind the traffic and don’t use your phone while you run or ride.
4. Account
- You must be 16 or over. At 16 and 17, only with the authorization of a parent or legal guardian, confirmed at sign-up, and any purchase also depends on that authorization, according to the store’s rules and the law. Until 18, the community profile is private, and the guardian has a PIN-protected panel to turn on the community, approve purchases and limit usage time.
- Each account belongs to one person only, with true information. You are responsible for what is done in your account. Keep your password safe and let us know if you suspect unauthorized access.
- The app is for personal use. Commercial use requires our written authorization: for example, reselling access or selling the generated plans to third parties.
- You can delete your account whenever you like. See Delete account.
5. What is not allowed
In the app and in the community, you may not:
- post illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening or violent content, nudity or sexual content;
- post content that sexualizes or exploits minors, or contact minors for that purpose. There is zero tolerance, and we report cases to the authorities;
- encourage self-harm, eating disorders, doping or dangerous training practices;
- expose other people’s data or images without consent;
- infringe copyright, trademark or image rights;
- pretend to be someone else, create fake accounts or post fake records to deceive others;
- send spam, unauthorized advertising or scams;
- harm the service: automated access or data scraping, reverse engineering (except where the law allows it), getting around limits or security, or sending malicious code.
6. Your content and other people’s
- What you post, such as photos, videos, texts and workouts, remains yours.
- For the service to work, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license. It only serves to store, copy, adapt the format (for example, shrink a photo) and show that content to the people your privacy settings allow.
- The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except in backups, for the period stated in the Privacy Policy. We don’t use your content in advertising without your consent.
- You guarantee that you have the right to post what you post, including the permission of the people who appear in your photos and videos.
- We don’t review content before it is posted and we are not responsible for what other people post. We act quickly when we learn that content is illegal (see section 7).
- We don’t verify people’s identity. How you interact with them is your responsibility, including in “Train together” and when you meet in person. Use common sense and prefer public places.
- We may freely use the suggestions you send us, without any obligation.
7. Reports and moderation
- Report content or accounts through the options in the app or at support@coachsporti.com.
- We review every report. Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- remove the content or limit who sees it;
- suspend features;
- suspend or close the account.
- Decisions are made by a person. We tell whoever was affected the reason, unless the law forbids it or doing so would put someone’s safety at risk.
- You can contest a decision within 30 days at support@coachsporti.com, and we will review the case.
8. Premium, free trial and payments
- Some features are part of Premium. While the app is in its testing phase, Premium is offered to everyone at no cost, and taking part means accepting the testing-phase data agreement described in the Privacy Policy: the team sees your training data to improve the app.
- After launch, each person gets a 1-month free trial of Premium. It starts when you create your account and doesn’t ask for a card. At the end of the trial, Premium only continues if you subscribe.
- The subscription is sold through Google Play or the App Store. Price, taxes and conditions are shown in the store before you buy. It renews automatically until it is cancelled in your store account’s settings.
- People who recommend the app to friends and family can earn extra Premium time, on the conditions shown in the app. Fake or colluding accounts set up to generate bonuses void those bonuses.
- If you subscribe through Google Play, Premium time earned through referrals or offered by us postpones the subscription’s next charges, instead of waiting for it to end. The app shows each postponed charge.
- Refunds follow the store’s rules and the rights the law gives you, such as the right of withdrawal where it applies.
- We will announce price changes in advance. They only apply after the period already paid for, and you can cancel before then.
- We may change what is included in each plan. A change that reduces what you paid for doesn’t apply to the period already paid for.
9. Intellectual property
- All of this belongs to Matheus Gomes Messias or to those who licensed it to us:
- the app and the software, including the system that builds the workouts;
- the exercise catalog, the texts and the design;
- the Coach Sporti brand, the Sporti mascot, the logos and the animations.
- We give you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the app on your devices, under these terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute or sell the app or its content, or use our brand without permission.
- Third-party content belongs to its authors and follows those platforms’ terms, such as the exercise videos on YouTube. We are not responsible for third-party websites.
- Exercise data and videos provided by MuscleWiki.com. With Premium, some exercises show a short MuscleWiki video inside the app, with its brand.
- Coach Sporti is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any company, event, equipment maker or training method. The names of sports, exercises and equipment in the app are descriptive and in common use. Names of third-party products and stores, when they appear, only indicate compatibility or where the app is available, and belong to their owners. Named benchmark workouts (historical benchmarks) appear because of the tradition they have among people who train and were not created by Coach Sporti.
10. How the service works
- We work to keep the service available, secure and correct, but it is provided as is. There may be interruptions, for maintenance, failures or problems with our providers. There may also be calculation errors and features that change.
- We keep your data carefully, and you can export it at any time under Settings → Account → Export my data.
- If the service is shut down, we will let you know at least 30 days in advance, so you can export your data. We will refund the paid and unused part of subscriptions, as provided by law.
11. Liability
- We are liable, as provided by law, for the damage we cause through our fault.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- damage caused by using the app against these terms or against the safety guidance in section 3;
- damage caused by incorrect or incomplete information you provided;
- acts or content of other users or third parties;
- failures beyond our reasonable control;
- indirect damage or loss of profits.
- Except in the cases in the last item of this section, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or to €50 if you paid nothing.
- If you breach these terms or the law and that leads someone to make a claim against us, you are liable, as provided by law, for the reasonable damage and costs that result.
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits:
- liability for death or harm to health caused by our fault;
- liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence;
- the rights consumer law gives you that cannot be waived.
12. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms, fraud, risk to other people or to the service, or a legal order.
- In serious cases, such as those involving minors, threats or fraud, the measure is immediate.
- In other cases, we warn you first and give you the chance to put it right.
- An account unused for more than 24 months may be closed, with an email warning 30 days before.
- After termination, the sections that by their nature should continue remain in force, such as sections 9, 11 and 14.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for valid reasons, such as new features, changes in the law or in the stores’ rules, security or abuse prevention.
- We announce relevant changes in the app or by email at least 15 days in advance.
- If you don’t agree, you can delete your account before that date. If you keep using the app after it, the changes apply to you.
- A change required by law or for security may apply sooner.
14. Applicable law and disputes
- These terms are governed by Portuguese law. You keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live and can go to the courts of that country.
- Before any complaint, talk to us at support@coachsporti.com: we want to solve it.
- In consumer disputes, you can also turn to an alternative dispute resolution body: in Portugal, CNIACC – Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (www.cniacc.pt). In Brazil, there is the consumidor.gov.br platform.
15. Final provisions
- These terms, the Privacy Policy and, for purchases, the store’s rules form the entire agreement between you and us.
- If a clause is found invalid, the others remain in force. The invalid clause is read in the valid way closest to its purpose.
- If we don’t enforce a right in one case, that doesn’t mean we waive it.
- We talk to you through the app and by email. The Portuguese version of these terms prevails over any translation, this one included.
